On March 5, 2022, the Navarre High School NJROTC Raider Battalion traveled to Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and qualified for the US Navy JROTC National Drill Championship Competition.  The competition will be held at the NAS Pensacola on April 1st and 2nd. The cadets finished in second place behind Pace High School.

The national championship will feature the top 24 drill teams in the entire United States. This is only the second time in the history of this school that Raider Battalion has qualified for drill nationals.
